  1. Franks father was ,I think,on the executive committee of the Corn Exchange in the City of London. So this reads ‘Corn’ not ‘Com’ probably. I have family documents on the Corn Exchange. Perhaps Frank worked there as well. I know my grandfather William worked there until he retired. I have a memory of him going up to the city in his bowler hat.

    • I remember my Mom talking about the Exchange and thinking that it was the Stock Exchange. She mentioned something about the crash of ’29 but I doubt the Corn Exchange was affected by that. Maybe they invested in the Stock Exchange too, however.
