Holy stoned decks. Make & mend in afternoon. Got head down for about an hour. Concert on upper deck in evening. Captain presented football medals. (Rockies took 2nd Medal).

“Action Stations” in forenoon. Went out in whaler in evening.

2nd part Starboard of fos’cle first thing. Went out about 7.30 for Sub Calibre & 4″ firing. Returned about 12.30 p.m. Coaled ship 350 tons from “Agnes Duncan”. Finished about 3.0 p.m.

Troops landed. I did not. Not exciting on. Con’d whaler for Middles in evening for short pull.

King’s visit to Fleet. Hands in No 2’s all day. Manned ship each time he passed and cleaned ship when he finally went away. Make & mend in afternoon. Carried on in office. Pictures in evening.
