Scrubbed decks and mess decks before breakfast. Cleaned and went to Divisions. Cook of Mess. Church in forenoon. Presentation to Lady Beatty after dinner. Admiral made a speech. 2nd part of Starboard Watch landed. Lovely day and had very nice walk abour Queen’s ferry. Coaling tomorrow.

Holystoned decks before breakfast. Cleaned flats in forenoon and then gun quarters. Paid during dinner hour. Pipe down in afternoon except for getting in meat and spuds. Quarters at 4 o’clock. Cook of Mess tomorrow. Spent dog Watches preparing dinner.

Scrubbed decks & mess deck before breakfast. Had Divisions and told off to clean Sailing Pinnace out. 4″ guns crews to drill from 10.30 to 11.15. Make & mend in afternoon. Quarters at 4 o’clock. Funeral of chap who was killed in Collier.

Scrubbed decks and cleaned guns before breakfast. Got in awnings in afternoon. White Searchlight crews to drill at 10.30. Took awning etc. over to hulk in afternoon. Provisioning ship. Stowed 6 cases of cordite in first dog. Had dance on deck in evening.

Hands shifted into painting rig first thing. Holystoned decks before breakfast. Started painting directly after breakfast. Painted stump derrick in forenoon and hatches in afternoon. Plowman got German Measles. Plowman went to hospital with German Measles.

Scrubbed decks and cleaned flats before breakfast. Cleaning into No 3’s during breakfast hour and mustered by open list afterwards. Church in forenoon. Spent afternoon on upper deck with Colin. Very fine day. Quarters at 4.p.m. Chap who got hurt in collier yesterday died.
