Had Middle Watch. Packed up about 3.45. Hands called at 6.15. 2nd part of starboard on fos’cle at 6.30 to get ready for tying up to buoy. Arrived Rosyth about 7.0 AM. Started coaling at 8.30. Finished at 12 0’clock. Took in 1250 tons. Got crowned with hook but only slightly. Raining all day. Cleaned ship in afternoon.

Had all night in as Search Light crews were not required for morning watch. Working on Coaling Gear in forenoon. “Obdurate” sunk Dutch
trawler which released carrier pigeons as soon as we had passed. “Princess Royal” fired on (?). “Phaeton” “Galatea” brought down zeppelin.
Supporting Air Raid Battle Fleet joined up in afternoon. Thick fog came on about 4.0 p.m. Destroyer nearly ran into our stern and cut out
log line in two. Fog cleared later on.

4 in guns to drill in forenoon. 2nd part of starboard landed in afternoon. Buzz that spies disguised as dockyard workmen had tried to blow
up Powder House and “Invincible” in dockyard, but were collared. Told off for sentry on cells tomorrow. Got morning and forenoon. Zepps
reported approaching in evening but did not see anything of them.

Holy stoned decks before breakfast. Night defence sounded off at 9.0 A.M. but secured a few minutes later. Rather misty and so submarine
attack cancelled. Australian Premier and some other chaps visited ships in afternoon. Cleaned up ship in afternoon.
