Scrubbed decks with Sand. Cook of Mess. Officers should have given concert at 8.15 in evening but weather unfavourable. Make & mend in afternoon. 

January 22nd 1916

Action Stations in forenoon. Training class in afternoon. 4″ stripping. Passing out on Monday. 

January 21st 1916

Cleaning paintwork in bathroom in forenoon. Training class in afternoon. Examined in Turret drills. 

January 20th 1916

Saturday Routine in forenoon, getting ship clean after coal ship. Training class in afternoon. Had preliminary Examination.

January 19th 1916

Started coaling at 7.30. Took in 420 tons from Agnes Duncan. Finished about 9.0 AM. Cleaned ship before dinner. Cleaning quarters at 2.45.

4″ drill in forenoon. Training Class in afternoon.

Sunday Routine. Read in afternoon.

Usual Saturday Routine. Head down in afternoon.

General Quarters in forenoon. Got and played for Reserves v 4th Division of Stokers. Lost 1-0. Good game. First time we have been beaten.
