Got old nets off the ship into the “Chesterfield’. Raining hard all day.
December 7th 1915
Went over to dockyard, spiraling nets. together in forenoon. Duty Sub.
December 6th 1915
Over in dockyard all day working on the nets. Raining all day and very muddy.
December 5th 1915
Usual Sunday Routine. Head down in afternoon.
December 4th 1915
Usual Saturday Routine. Make & mend.
December 3rd 1915
Prepared for paint ship, washing paintwork etc. Duty Sub. Tons of graft.
December 2nd 1915
General clean up of ship after leave. Rest of Fleet came in and we hoisted Admiral’s Flag at 9.0 A.M. Admiral came on board about 11.30.AM.
December 1st 1915
Arrived on board about 2.0 A.M. Found hammock and turned in at 3.30. Turned out again at 6.0. A.M. Scrubbed decks etc. Got under way at 9.0 A.M. Arrived Rosyth at 3.45. Started coaling at once. Took in 450 tons from Agnes Duncan. All Fleet out when we arrived. Rotten job coaling & everyone glad when it was finished.
November 30th 1915
Left King’s Cross by 5.15 train. Arrived Newcastle 11.15.p.m.
