Saturday Routine. Fell out for cook and cleaned out Mess. Played for Reserves v 2nd Division Stokers in afternoon. Good Game.

October 2nd 1915

Coaled ship 370 tons. Finished before breakfast. Cleaned ship in forenoon. Make & mend in afternoon. Landed and went to Concert at Rosyth Y.M.C.A. Very good show. Met Batson there and had yarn.

October 1st 1915

White Searchlight drill in forenoon. X Turret Reserves to drill in forenoon but did not hear pipe and so was adrift. Bailed out water from double bottom in afternoon. Ship beat P.R. in League 2-1.

September 30th 1915

4″ drill in forenoon. Landed with part of Watch in afternoon. Watched Daymen beat Marines in League by 4-2. S/S Leicester arrived with provisions during dog watches. Port Watch provisioned.

September 29th 1915

Seaman landed. Told off for provision party and so stopped on board. Provision ship did not arrive and so covered towing pennant with canvas. Part of ship in afternoon.

September 28th 1915

Usual Routine in forenoon. Cook of Mess. Played for Reservces v 1st Div. Stokers in afternoon. Won 4-2. (Shot 2). Ship played “Queen Mary” in League and won 1-0.

September 27th 1915

Usual Sunday Routine.

Raining hard all afternoon. Cleaned ship. Make & mend in afternoon. 

September 25th 1915

Exercise Action in forenoon. Told off to work with gunner’s party. Spongeing out guns and filling bays (?) with tracer 4 in.
