Aired bedding 1st thing but started raining and so had to take it down again. Painting under fore shelter deck again.
Semi-finals boxing at 9.0 AM. Control Stations & Spotting Table in forenoon. Packed up at 3.30. Finals of boxing in
evening. Very good evening. No make & mend.

Hands called at 4.15.A.M. Started coaling from “Agnes Duncan” about 5.30. Took in 340 tons. Finished about 6.30. Cleaned
ship in forenoon. Provisioning party in afternoon. Boxing heats in evening. Some very good fights. Cook of Mess. Duty
part.
April 22nd 1917
Ordinary Sunday Routine. Church in forenoon. Head down in afternoon. Evening service.
April 21st 1917
Ordinary Saturday Routine. Up all bags on fos’cle and aired night clothing. Down in flat in forenoon. Make & mend in afternoon. Landed as Reserve for Ship’s Team until half time and then went to YMCA with Bill Pacy.
April 20th 1917
Aired bedding. Action Stations in forenoon. Down in flats in afternoon. Duty part.
April 19th 1917
Action Stations in forenoon & then made munitions. Make & mend in afternoon. Got head down.
April 18th 1917
Saturday Routine. Cleaned up shop. Landed at Port Edgar in afternoon to shift cable. Could not find out what to do so returned to ship. Went to pictures in evening.
April 17th 1917
Went to breakfast at 7 o’clock & went over to other side of yard to stow iron stantions etc. Near ruins of castle. Returned to ship about 11.0 AM. Went into stream as soon as we had got on board. Coaled ship in afternoon from “Slav”. Took in 400 tons. Started about 1.0 p.m. and finished about 3.0 p.m.

Told off for extra side party in forenoon but too wet to work and so joined up part of ship. Hospital Party in aftern
oon to take Barrington to hospital.
