Usual Sunday Routine. Seamen’s 1st church. Head down until 3.15 when hands went to tea. Shifted into look lock about 4 o’clock. “Tiger” shifted into our old billet. Evening Service.

Mess deck painting party. Make & mend in afternoon. Played chess.
April 13th 1917
Seamen landed. Went for march towards Dumfermline. Landed with part of watch in afternoon. Went to Y.M.C.A. with Bill
Pacy. Had yarn with Miss Wrathall.
April 12th 1917
Seamen should have landed but postponed. Mess deck painting party all day. Spotting table in forenoon. No make & mend.
Duty part. Saw doctor again re knee.
April 11th 1917
Mess deck painting party all day.
April 10th 1917
Shifted into basin again at 7.45 AM. as Short Watch had expired. Painted ship. Over side all day. Went to pictures in
evening. “Tiger” came into lock.
April 9th 1917
Painting ship all day. Screws etc. Left leg had been troublesome and so went to see doctor about it. Had it massaged.
Hands pain in dog watches. Under short notice all day. Watched pictures for short time after supper.
April 8th 1917 (Easter Sunday)
Scrubbed decks. Divisions and church in forenoon. Wnet to Communion in “A” Turret Lobby, after church. Went under short
notice about 1 o’clock. Had to shift ship into Lock. Started about 2.0 p.m. and finished about 4.0 p.m. Raining hard the
whole time and so rotten job. Went to Evening Service.
April 7th 1917
Arrived Rosyth in Morning Watch. Hands called at 6.15. Started coaling about 4.30. Took in 500 tons from “Agnes Duncan”.
Finished about 9.0 AM. Cleaned ship in forenoon. Went into basin about 2.0 p.m. and tied up in old Billet. Cook of Mess

Sunday Routine in forenoon. Church. Got under way about 2.0 p.m. for Rosyth. “Queen Lizzie” came down with us. Had first
watch. Book of Rook. (?)
