Ordinary Routine. Clearing out gear from sailmakers store all day. Transferred same to “Saxon” in afternoon. Another rotten day. Spit kid party

Usual routine. Should have gone out Sub Calibre firing and prepared for sea at 11 o’clock. Weather however was unfavourable and so washed out.
Cleaned into coaling rig at 1.30. Collier did not come alongside until 4 o’clock. Took in 360 tons from Frances Duncan. Finished about 5.15.
Cleaned ship afterwards and finished about 7 o’clock.

Arrived London soon after 6.0 AM. Had breakfast at A.J. (?) Club and then strolled towards Whitehall with a chap we had made cums coming down.
Went to Admiralty for interview at 11 o’clock. Rather doubtful as to result. Left Admiralty about 12.30. Went to Corn Exchange & had grub with
Father & then went down to Sidcup. Arrived home about 3.30. Colin left by 6.36 train and I caught 10.36 & met him at Kings Cross. Caught 11.45.

Did 8.15. trip while crew got their breakfast. Stand off until 12.30. 4″ gun drill in forenoon. Got back to old number of sightsetter. Drizzling
the majority of afternoon. Kept pretty busy all the time. Got ready for going to sea after supper. Had trip to “Tiger” and then waited for
orders. Got them about midnight. Sea wash out. Had to sleep in boat in case they wanted to hoist us in.
