Diving party in forenoon. Fell in for Railway tickets after dinner. Left ship about 4.30. Stayed in Newcastle until 11.19. Went to Empire.

September 7th 1916

Got under way in Middle Watch. Had morning watch. Holy stoned decks with sand alone. Got up wire hausers. Arrived Newcastle about 10 o’clock.
Tied up in forenoon. 2 1/2 wire got caught round propeller. Diving party for same in afternoon. Carried on until 7.30. Hands paid 2 weeks money in
dog watches.

September 6th 1916

September 6th 1916 B

Ammunition Party. Started after breakfast getting cordite up onto starboard side of quarter deck. Make & mend in afternoon. Started disembarking
cordite at 6 o’clock. Finished at 7.30.

September 5th 1916

Hands called at 4.45. Started coaling at 6.0 o’clock. Took in 470 tons from Agnes Duncan. Finished before breakfast. Cleaned ship & gun quarters
in forenoon. Make & mend in afternoon. 2nd part of Starboard rigged ammunition davits in dog watches.

September 4th 1916

Usual Saturday Routine. Holystoned decks before
breakfast. Scrubbed out mess in forenoon. Aired
night clothing. Canteen (?) party in afternoon.

September 2nd 1916

Submarine  gave exhibition of dipping etc in harbour after breakfast.  Humping Mess gear in afternoon. Duty Sub.

August 31st 1916

Tested new cordite slings before breakfast. Part of ship in forenoon. Landed with part of Watch in afternoon. In canteen the whole time.
