Hands called at 4.45 (1/2 hour earlier than usual). Scrubbed decks with caustic (?). Painted ships side. Scraping behind foremost screen in forenoon & (?) leading same in afternoon. Party of visitors came on board at 2.30 and so hands had to make themselves small & so packed up work early.

Left dock about 6.0 AM. Tied up to buoy. Started coaling about 8.0 AM. Took in 550 tons from Agnes Duncan. Finished and cleaned ship by dinner. Started ammunitioning at 1.15. In lighter getting in 4: shells until 7 0’clock. Carried on in “X” Magazine stowing cordite until 10 o’clock.
