Coaled ship 450 tons. Started at 7:30 and finished at 9.30 a.m. Cleaned ship before dinner & make & mend in afternoon.

Rumour of zeppelin attack in direction of London. Two German Cruisers escorting same. Thought there might be something doing but no luck. Arrived Rosyth in evening. Agnes Duncan came alongside.

Church in forenoon. Make & mend in afternoon. Put to sea in 1st dog. Service at 6.p.m.

“Tiger” driven ashore during night but got off by morning. Usual routine in forenoon. Make & mend in afternoon.

Coaled ship 250 tons. Cleaned ship by dinner time. Paid money and had King’s Christmas Card served out. Weather pretty squally.

Ordinary Routine. Got coaling derrick ready for coaling on Jan 1st. Duty sub. Slept under fore shelter deck.

Harbour Routine. Under 2 1/2 hours notice all day. In boats (?) at 5.0. p.m. and went to 1/2 hours notice.
