1st part went ashore, but being too wet soon came back and went in afternoon.

Arrived Cromarty at 6.0 a.m. Moored and coaled ship 880 tons.

Sunday Routine. Church in forenoon. Cold wet day. Captured 3 merchantmen. Service in evening.

Fine but cold day. Captured 2 merchantmen. 

Usual harbour routine. Put to sea at 8.30.p.m. Had first watch. Ran into boom defence in fog. 

Coaled ship 260 tons. 

Usual Routine. Harry Free’s muffler, jersies & Balaclava Helmets served out.
