Cleaned ship in forenoon. Made grom(m)ets in afternoon.

Went out about 7.30 and dropped hook other side of bridge. .303 blobbing in forenoon. Control Stations
in afternoon. Sub Calibre firing. Very misty the whole time. Tied up again about 5.0 p.m. 2nd part Starboard on fos’cle.

Very wet day. No divisions. Did not go to church in forenoon. Head down in afternoon. Went to Evening Service.

Holy stoned decks before breakfast. Down in Flats in forenoon. Ring rigged in forenoon for Boxing. Make & mend in
afternoon. B.C.F. Boxing Competitions on board in evening. Not up to previous standard. All ‘Lion’s’ men dipped.

Painted ship. Started first thing. Spotting table in forenoon. Rained in afternoon and mucked up paint. Went to
“Australia” in evening to Fleet Boxing. Cook of Mess.

Should have painted ship but it rained. Spotting Table in forenoon. Painted out Admirals Sea Cabin. Went to ‘Inflexible”
in evening to watch Fleet Boxing Competitions. Went up to pictures after. Cook of Mess.

fos’cle. Started coaling about 2.0 p.m. Took in 450 tons. Finished about 3.15.p.m. Cleaned ship in 1st dog.
