Coaled ship : 460 tons. Work down in Collier. Finished before breakfast. Cleaned ship in forenoon. Make and mend in afternoon.

Usual Sunday Routine. Landed with Starboard Watch in afternoon. In canteen the whole time.

Scrubbed decks with sand. Cook of Mess. Scrubbed & cleaned out Mess in forenoon. Make & mend in afternoon.

Boat keeper of Sailing Pinnace all day. Boat used for diving party. Running nearly all day. “New Zealand’s foretopmen beat our foretopmen in cutter race. Followed race.

Saturday Routine. Holy stoned decks. Fell out to scrub out mess. French Minister of Marine etc. visited ship. Did not inspect Ship’s Company. Duty Sub.
