Had Middle Watch. “Invincible” rammed by Patrol Yacht during First Watch. Yacht sunk and “Invincible” damaged. Came off Watch at 3.30. Got
head down on Mess Stool until 4.15. AM when hands were called and shifted into coaling rig. Ran into thick fog somewhere near May Island,
and so did not go under bridge but dropped anchor the other side. Got head down again till breakfast time (7 o’clock). Fog lifted & tied up
to buoy about 9.0 AM. Coaled ship from Agnes Duncan, 850 tons. Finished by dinnertime. Cleaned ship in afternoon.
