Hands called at 6.0 AM. Scrubbed upper deck and cleaned paintwork before breakfast and in forenoon. Very windy day & so
very cold job. Long dinner hour until 2.30. Went to gun quarters then. Started rationing on board. No repayment gear in
future.

Had Middle Watch. Arrived Scapa about 3.30. Hands called at 6.0 AM. Cleaned into coaling rig first thing.
Very windy day. Collier did not come alongsige until about 11.0 AM. Went to dinner at 6 bells and started coaling about
noon. Rotten collier. Chocked full and so we could hardly move to start with. Very dusty. Took in 1350 tons. Finished
about 7.30. Swept down upper deck but did not scrub.

Got up anchors first thing and then did direction test. On telephone down in fore. (?) Working party from Crescent came on
board in afternoon. Shifted out of dock alongside Wall. Started getting cordite in after tea. Lads came back in evening.

March 20th 1917
Went to breakfast first thing and started on Cable at 7.30 AM. Finished about noon. Got new anchor down into dock and
returned one which was broker while getting it out. Flooded dock about 1.30pm. Painted ships side in afternoon. Red Watch
leave cancelled. Got down davits and rigged stump derrick for ammunitioning.
